Custom made tours & trips
Overview
To see Slovenia in the shortest possible time, private transportation is a great option, as it allows you flexibility and comfort. Here are some options for private transportation around Slovenia:
1. Private transportation with driver
We offer the option of hiring a personal driver + vehicle, who will customize the sightseeing program for you. This can be a good way if you want to visit several places without worrying about parking or finding your way around.
2. Organized private or group tours with a local guide
If you want to see the key sights and get acquainted with the history, culture and nature of Slovenia, organized tours with private guides are a great option. The guide can take you to less visited places, such as hidden corners in the Julian Alps, the coast or numerous wineries.
3. Luxury transfers and rides in high-end vehicles
For a more luxurious way of transportation, you can rent a limousine or luxury car with a driver. This can be very comfortable and offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view while the driver takes you around Slovenia.
4. Custom Transfer
We offer custom transfer services that allow you to set your own times and stops. This is ideal if you have specific preferences regarding the places you want to visit.
If you only have one day to visit Slovenia, I recommend focusing on some of the most iconic places that represent the beauty and diversity of the country. Here are some suggestions for a one-day or multi-day visit to Slovenia:
1. Ljubljana + Bled
Ljubljana – The Capital
To start, I recommend focusing on Ljubljana, which is small but charming and very easy to explore. Here are the main points that you should not miss:
• Ljubljana Castle: Start the day with a visit to Ljubljana Castle, from where you will have a wonderful view of the city and its surroundings. You can go on foot or use the funicular.
• Old Town: Stroll through the city streets and visit the Triple Bridge, Prešeren Square, Franciscan Church and Ljubljana Market.
• Metelkova: For lovers of alternative culture and art, this is the area that offers colorful graffiti and cultural centers.
• Museums: If you are interested in art, visit the Museum of Contemporary Art or the National Museum of Slovenia.
Lunch: Visit one of the cafes or restaurants along the Ljubljanica River for a delicious lunch. You can also try traditional Slovenian food, such as jota (sour soup with beans and cabbage) or Idrija žlikrofi (pasta with potato filling).
Bled – Picturesque Lake and Castle
In the afternoon, head to Bled, which is only a 45-minute drive from Ljubljana. Bled is a very popular destination for visitors.
• Lake Bled: Take a walk around the lake or take a traditional pletna boat to the island, where you can visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
• Bled Castle: Enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding area from Bled Castle. The interior of the castle contains a museum collection and a restaurant.
• Bled Cream Pie: This famous dessert is almost a must!
Evening: Spend the evening by the lake or in nearby Radovljica, where you can see medieval buildings and enjoy local cuisine.
2. Postojna Cave + Predjama Castle + Piran
Postojna Cave
To start the second day, head to Postojna Cave, which is just a 1.5-hour drive from Bled. It is one of the largest and most visited karst caves in the world.
• Postojna Cave Tour: The cave is known for its spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, and part of the tour includes a train ride, which is very fun and convenient. The tour lasts about an hour and a half.
• Predjama Castle: Just a few minutes’ drive away is Predjama Castle, a unique castle built into a rock cave. It is one of the most impressive architectural structures in Slovenia.
Piran – Coast and Mediterranean Charm
After visiting Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle, head to the Slovenian coast, to Piran (about 1.5 hours drive).
• Tartini Square: This is the central square in Piran, surrounded by historic buildings.
• Bell Tower: Visit the bell tower, which offers a wonderful view of the city and the sea.
• Coastal streets and restaurants: Stroll through the narrow streets and enjoy fresh seafood delicacies in one of the coastal restaurants.
Evening: Spend an evening by the sea and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere of Piran, where you can try local specialties such as risotto (risotto with mussels) or sea bass.
3.Triglav National Park (Bohinj, Savica Falls, Vogel)
Triglav National Park – Bohinj
• Lake Bohinj: Start your day with a visit to Lake Bohinj, which is less crowded than Bled but just as beautiful. Enjoy a walk by the lake or try water activities like kayaking.
• Savica Falls: A short hike will take you to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia, Savica Falls. The picturesque setting and the sound of the falls are a real treat for nature lovers.
Vogel – View of the Julian Alps
If you have some time left, you can take the cable car to Vogel, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Triglav (the highest peak in Slovenia) and the surrounding mountains. It is a popular destination in both summer and winter, as it offers wonderful hikes and excursions.
